Protecting Your Digital Assets

By Barbara Zaccone

I can't begin to tell you how many calls I get from companies that are in a predicament with their web site. Either their web person has stopped returning phone calls or they have just fallen off the face of the earth. For BZA these missions become one of research and rescue. Typically these people aren't sure where their site is being hosted and many do not have their domain registrar information.

As a word of warning, I recommend you treat your web site like any other valuable company asset. Keep all your hosting and domain records in a safe place. You can even ask your web master to burn your site to a CD-ROM. Also make sure you own your domain name. Many companies are surprised to find out that they do not own their own domain name. It is an unethical business practice for a client to register a name for a company, charge them for it and keep ownership of the name. Although we love to come to the rescue for clients, becoming the hero, we most often wish it were under better circumstances.

Project Feature: BZA Designs First Class Marketing Materials

Craftsmanship, style and reliability are the characteristics Professional Aircraft Completions wanted to convey to potential clients. With that in mind, BZA developed a marketing strategy to set the tone; “You are running a first-class operation. So when it comes to interior service and maintenance, why settle for coach?”

We felt it was important to emphasize how skilled craftsmen at Professional Aircraft Completions are responsible for intricate details and exceptional quality. We communicated this by using images of stunning aircraft interiors alongside an image of a violin being crafted. Professional Aircraft Compltetions was extremely pleased with this refreshing approach to marketing.

This theme was applied to an elegant pocket folder that engages and intrigues. Its contents are the sophisticated company brochure we designed, that details their capabilities and sets them apart from their competitors. BZA is also developing a web site that will complement their new brand image.

BZA Attends Global Shop 2006BZA Attends GlobalShop 2006

BZA recently attended the world's largest retail store design trade show known as GlobalShop 2006. The show took place in Orlando, Florida for over over 3 days. With more than 900 hundred exhibitors there was a reported traffic of 20,000+ attendees for the event.

In addition to documenting the presence of our client Vira Manufacturing, Inc. through video and photography, BZA experienced first-hand visits with their main competitors. Having this opportunity allows us to approach new angles in creating and crafting a more focused message in future materials for our client.

In preparing our client to have a memorable presence in the show, BZA developed a campaign based on the concept, "It's all here," which reinforces Vira's competitive advantage. This phrase serves to demonstrate the strengths of the company. It embodies Vira's ability to do it all; from displays to fixtures, design to engineering and from installation to service.

Among the products developed to support the show, BZA produced an ad campaign which appeared in DDI magazine, VM&SD and the GlobalShop 2006 Directory. Additionally, we produced all of the graphics used in their 20'x40' booth, a four page brochure highlighting some of their latest innovations and a product demonstration movie viewed on their newly created video mirror.

Though the deadlines were tight, the job was done properly and delivered on time -- one of the many benefits of working with BZA. BZA is very proud of the end results which was described by many as "magnificent."
