Are you using Google Analytics? If not, you should. Google Analytics (GA) is a FREE service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics and reports on your web site traffic. Central to GA is the Dashboard, appropriately named, that gives you access to information like where the visitors came from, how long they stayed on the website, how many pages did they view, and what keywords they used to find you.
It was only a few years ago that companies would have to pay thousands of dollars to get these marketing analytic reports. But what is even more exciting, is how you can set-up and track conversion goals. A goal can be considered when a web visitor fills out an inquiry form, signs up for a newsletter, downloads a white paper or best of all makes a purchase. For Google Adwords users, this means you will now know how much revenue was generated by each ad. Armed with this data and your profit margin, you can now determine your return on investment (ROI).
How do you get started? You need to set up a Google account, and have the analytics Java Script code pasted into the pages of your web site. If you would like an estimate for BZA to set this up on your site please contact us at info@bza.com.
